XL5: "Error in Formula" Inserting FormulaArray in Visual Basic

SYMPTOMS

When you use the FormulaArray property in Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0, you may receive the following error message: 

   Error in formula
CAUSE

When you are using Visual Basic, Applications Edition to insert a worksheet formula into a cell, the error will occur even though the worksheet formula syntax is correct.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0c.

The FormulaArray property returns or sets the formula of a range, entered as an array. It returns (or can be set to) a single formula or a Visual Basic array. If the specified range is not array-entered, this property returns Null.
