-
Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 4.0a, 5.0
In Microsoft Excel versions 4.0a and 5.0, there is additional support for
importing and exporting Lotus 1-2-3 Allways-formatted files. In
Microsoft Excel for Windows version 4.0a, the SAVE.AS() function will
accept the additional arguments of 30, 31, and 32 for the type_num
argument.
Although page 369 of the "Function Reference," version 4.0, only lists
29 file formats, Microsoft Excel version 4.0a, includes the following
three additional arguments for Lotus 1-2-3 file formats:
Type_num File format
30 WK1,FMT
31 WK1,ALL
32 WK3,FM3
When you use type_num 30, the spreadsheet will be saved with the .WK1
filename extension and it will also be saved in a format file with the
filename as the spreadsheet but with the .FMT filename extension. When
you use type_num 31, the file will be saved as a spreadsheet with the
.WK1 filename extension and a format file with an .ALL filename
extension. When you specify a type_num of 32, the spreadsheet will be
saved with a .WK3 filename extension and a format file with a .FM3
extension.
