When you run a Visual Basic for Applications macro that uses the SendKeys statement in Microsoft Excel 97, the macro may be slower compared to earlier versions of Microsoft Excel.
To work around this problem, use the SendKeys method for the Application object instead of the SendKeys statement. In Microsoft Excel 97, the SendKeys method for the Application object executes more quickly than the Visual Basic SendKeys statement.
For example, if you use the following SendKeys command:
SendKeys "^X"
replace it with the following command:
Application.SendKeys "^X"
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
