The MsgBox function allows you to change the default title of "Microsoft
Excel." The title argument of this function is used to set a title for a
message box. The following example displays a message box with a title of
"Hello."
1. Open a new workbook.
2. Start the Visual Basic Editor (press OPTION+F11).
3. On the Insert Menu, click Module.
4. Type the following code in the new module:
Sub ChangeTitleBar()
msgPrompt = "Click OK to continue."
msgTitle = "Hello"
MsgBox Prompt:=msgPrompt, Title:=msgTitle
End Sub
5. On the Tools menu, click Macros.
6. Click "ChangeTitleBar," and then click Run.
Notice the word "Hello" is in the title bar.
7. Click OK.
For more information about using the MsgBox function, click the Office Assistant in the Visual Basic Editor, type "msgbox," click Search, and then click to view "MsgBox Function."
NOTE: If the Assistant is hidden, click the Office Assistant button on the Standard toolbar. If Microsoft Help is not installed on your computer, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
