SYMPTOMSIf you directly paste a 8 bit color .DIB picture from Paint Brush that comes with Windows, versions 3.0 or 3.1 into the AniButton.VBX control with the Standard Edition of Microsoft Visual Basic for Windows, version 2.0 you may receive a General Protection (GP) fault when using Windows, version 3.1 or an Unrecoverable Application Error (UAE) when using Windows, version 3.0. A GP fault or UAE does not occur if you load the .DIB picture through the Picture property in design mode. Instead, an "Invalid format" error is returned.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Standard Edition of Microsoft Visual Basic for Windows, version 2.0. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visual Basic version 3.0 for Windows.
