SUMMARY

There is no way to set the default font in a Microsoft Excel chart. However, you can change the font of all the text in an Excel chart by using the following procedure:

  1. From the Chart menu, choose Select Chart, or press COMMAND+A.

  2. In Excel version 2.20, choose Font from the Format menu and select the font and any desired font attributes. In Excel versions 1.50 and earlier, choose Text from the Format menu and select the font and any desired font attributes.

To establish a default chart type, font, etc., for this session, use the Set Preferred command on the Gallery menu. These defaults will remain until you set another preferred style or quit Excel.
