Page 11 of the "Microsoft Excel Function Reference," version 4.0, shows a sample tool reference area (used by the ADD.TOOL() function), which incorrectly lists Rectangle 1 and Rectangle 3 as custom tool faces. Since tool faces must be picture objects, Microsoft Excel graphics are not acceptable. The default face for the tool will be used instead of the graphic listed in the reference area.
Custom tool, faces must be picture objects. Other graphical objects
(rectangles, ovals, lines, arcs, and drawings) must be converted to
picture objects before they can be used as tool faces.
To convert an Excel drawing object to a picture object:
