The information in this article applies to:

  • The C Run-time (CRT) included with:

        - Microsoft C/C++ for MS-DOS, version 7.0
        - Microsoft Visual C++ for Windows, versions 1.0 and 1.5

The online help and printed documentation included with Microsoft C/C++ version 7.0 and Visual C++ for Windows, version 1.0, incorrectly show that the _inp(), _outp(), _inpw(), and _outpw() functions are not included in the run-time libraries for Windows and Windows dynamic-link libraries (DLLs). This is incorrect. These functions are available.
