The following graphics adapters are supported by the Microsoft C Run-time graphics routines:
MDPA (Monochrome Display and Printer Adapter)
CGA (Color Graphics Adapter)
EGA (Enhanced Graphics Adapter)
MCGA (Multi-Color Graphics Array)
VGA (PS/2) (Video Graphics Array)
Analog monitors
VGA (non-PS/2)
Must be only adapter in system
Use only monochrome modes with monochrome monitor
Use only color modes with color monitor
Super VGA (Versions 7.0 and 8.0 only)
The Hercules card was not supported in earlier versions of Microsoft C. To run a program written with the Microsoft C graphics libraries on a Hercules monitor, you must first run the MSHERC.COM program. This program can be distributed with your programs. For more information on hercules support search for 'Hercules' in the online help of Visual Workbench 1.0.
