Excel: ENABLE.TOOL() Requires All Three ArgumentsID: Q89208
|
Page 131 of the "Microsoft Excel Function Reference," version 4.0 and the Online Help of the Macro Functions Help, incorrectly indicate that the third argument, "enable," in the ENABLE.TOOL() function may be omitted. However, omitting this argument results in the following error message:
Too Few Arguments
The ENABLE.TOOL() function enables or disables a tool on a toolbar. The
function requires three arguments: BAR_ID, POSITION, and ENABLE. If ENABLE
is set to TRUE, the specified tool is accessible by the user; if set to
FALSE, the tool may still be visible but cannot be accessed.
The ENABLE argument can be omitted as long as a comma placeholder is
included in the formula. For example:
=ENABLE.TOOL("Standard",4,)
In this case, the ENABLE argument is assumed to be a value of FALSE.
