BUG: SCSI Printers Don't Work in Windows 95ID: Q140656
|
Under Windows 95, a fault in Ios.vxd occurs if a SCSI printer is powered on and plugged into a configured SCSI port. Because the fault doesn't allow complete printer installation, the printer cannot be used under Windows 95. The printer will have to be turned off or unplugged from the SCSI port in order for Windows 95 to boot successfully.
There is a bug in the initial release of the Ios.vxd driver.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
A corrected version of Ios.vxd can be found on the following distribution
