It is possible to use FontEdit to create a font that can be used by the console. The following must be true:
Install the font from the Control Panel. After rebooting, the font will be available to the console. An EnumFonts() call is made by the console during its initialization to determine what fonts are available. The console saves a set of one-to-one mappings between the font sizes listed and a set of LOGFONTs. The console never has direct knowledge of what file is used.
