PRB: GetTextExtPoint Does Not Work on Windows NT 4 (Russian)

The information in this article applies to:

• Microsoft Windows NT, version 4.0

SYMPTOMS

On English Windows NT 4.0 with a Russian regional setting and on Russian Windows NT 4.0, the GetTextExtentPoint and GetTextExtentPoint32 APIs return incorrect values. However, the GetTextExtentExPoint API works correctly.

RESOLUTION

Install Service Pack 3 on Windows NT 4.0 and all three APIs (GetTextExtentPoint, GetTextExtentPoint32, and GetTextExtentExPoint) should work correctly.

STATUS

This problem was corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 3.
