Page 127 of the "Microsoft Excel User's Guide" version 3.0 for the Macintosh manual incorrectly states that "Microsoft Excel accepts formulas up to 4,096 characters long." A formula is limited by 1024 bytes of information, not characters. Depending on the complexity, your formula may be as many as 300 characters. Text strings are limited to 255 characters.
