Excel: Moving Between Unlocked Cells in Protected WorksheetID: Q25492
|
In a protected Microsoft Excel document, you can select any cell (locked or unlocked) on the worksheet by using the mouse to click the cell. To cycle through the unlocked cells in a protected worksheet, press the TAB key.
If the worksheet is protected, you can select the next available unlocked
cell by pressing the TAB key. Microsoft Excel will select the next unlocked
cell that is to the right or below the active cell. If there is no unlocked
cell to the right or below the active cell, then the top-left unlocked cell
in the worksheet is selected.
NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, you can use
either the TAB key or the ENTER key (on the numeric keypad) to cycle
through unlocked cells.
