SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Publisher version 1.0 with Microsoft Windows, the following error may be displayed when a file is loaded.

   Error in loading printer driver

CAUSE

This error message occurs because Publisher notices that the printer driver originally used to create the file is different than the one currently being used in Windows.

WORKAROUND

  1. From the File menu, choose Printer Setup.

  2. Choose the OK button.

This tells Publisher that a new driver is loaded. After following these steps, you can successfully print the file.
