Excel: Print and Printer Setup Buttons Greyed in Page SetupID: Q82246
|
In Microsoft Excel for Windows, if you bring up the Page Setup dialog box by using the button in the File Print dialog box, the "Print..." and "Printer Setup..." buttons will be grayed out (in version 4.0) or missing (in version 5.0). This is by design.
When already in the Print dialog, it is too late to change any of the
printer settings via Printer Setup. As a result, this button is
unavailable. Since the Page Setup dialog has been brought up from within
the Print dialog, the Print button is unavailable; selecting OK in Page
Setup will return you to the Print dialog box.
The Print and Printer Setup buttons will only be available if the Page
Setup dialog is brought up by selecting Page Setup from the File menu.
