Excel: SAVE.AS Retains Password of Password-Protected DocumentID: Q63963
|
In Microsoft Excel, when the SAVE.AS command function is run on a
password-protected document, the newly saved document will retain the
password and will prompt for the password to be input any time the new
sheet is opened. This will occur even if the password argument is not
included in the SAVE.AS command.
Inserting two quotation marks ("") in the password argument of the
second SAVE.AS command will save the worksheet without a password.
For example, the following command saves the worksheet "mysheet" with
the password "test":
=SAVE.AS("mysheet",1,"test",FALSE)
=SAVE.AS("myothersheet",1,"",FALSE)
