Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 3.0, 4.0
-
Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, versions 3.0, 4.0
SUMMARY
When selecting graphic objects embedded on a Microsoft Excel
worksheet, the selection cursor is replaced with an arrow when the
mouse is positioned over an embedded chart or large graphic object.
Thus, selecting graphic objects embedded on top of larger objects may
be difficult.
MORE INFORMATION
To use the graphic selection tool to select graphic objects embedded
on a larger object:
- Click the graphic selection tool in the tool bar.
- Move the crosshair to just above the upper left boundary of the
large graphic or embedded chart.
- Click and drag an outline rectangle, which falls short of the
rightmost bottom boundary of the larger object, and release the mouse
button. This will select only the smaller objects embedded on the
larger object.
Another method is to select each smaller graphic object by holding
down the SHIFT key and simultaneously clicking each succeeding object.
