Excel: SHIFT+Click on Step Button to Debug MacroLast reviewed: November 2, 1994Article ID: Q51961 |
SUMMARYWhile you are stepping through a Microsoft Excel macro using the STEP function, holding down the SHIFT key and clicking the Step button causes Excel to make a single pass through the formula currently being displayed in the Step dialog box. Excel first displays the formula in italics and then, for each time you hold down the SHIFT key and click the Step button, Excel evaluates portions of the formula until it is fully resolved. Note: Microsoft Excel version 3.00 adds an Evaluate button to the Step dialog box. Clicking the Evaluate button is the same as SHIFT+clicking the Step button.
