To assign a shortcut key to a Start menu item, follow these steps:
- Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar (or
Taskbar & Start Menu).
- On the Start Menu Programs tab, click Advanced.
- Use the right mouse button to click the item to which you want to
assign a shortcut key, and then click Properties on the menu that
appears.
- Click the Shortcut tab.
- Click the Shortcut Key box.
- Press the key combination you want to use as the shortcut for the
item. For example, press the CTRL key and the F4 key to assign a
shortcut of CTRL+F4.
- Click OK.
