Excel: xy Coordinates Ignored for Triggered, Movable DialogID: Q84019
|
A floating dialog box that is displayed as a result of a trigger item from
another floating dialog box is displayed with its upper-left corner aligned
to that of the first dialog box. That is, the x and y coordinates in the
second floating dialog box description are ignored.
To work around this problem, change the type of either dialog box to the
non-movable variety.
A movable dialog box is designated by typing a name in the text column
(column 6) of the first row of a dialog box definition table. To change a
movable dialog box to a fixed dialog box, remove this text.
Under normal circumstances, the placement of a dialog box can be controlled
by entering x and y coordinates into the fourth and fifth columns of the
first line of the dialog box description table. If these coordinates are
left out, the dialog box will be centered on the monitor when it is
displayed.
To specify a trigger items, add 100 to the item number in the dialog
box definition table.
