Excel: Zero Divided by Zero Returns "#NUM" Instead of "DIV/0!"Last reviewed: November 1, 1994Article ID: Q75822 |
SUMMARYWhen you are using a Macintosh with a math coprocessor, the computer evaluates a formula that divides zero by zero ("=0/0") to a value that is too small for Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh versions 2.2 and 3.0 to use. As a result, Excel generates a "#NUM" error. On a computer without a math coprocessor, Excel generates the error "#DIV/0!".
