File Conversion Wizard Does Not Run Under MS Excel for NT

SYMPTOMS

If you download and install the File Conversion Wizard from the Microsoft Internet Web Server, and you attempt to run the wizard in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows NT, you may receive the following error message:

   Run Time Error '48':
   Error in loading DLL

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the File Conversion Wizard is designed to take advantage of new "Wait Cursor" functionality that is available only in Microsoft Excel version 7.0 for Windows 95. Therefore, the wizard fails to work with Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows NT.

WORKAROUND

Run the File Conversion Wizard on a system running either Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows (not version 5.0 for Windows NT) or Microsoft Excel version 7.0 for Windows 95.
