Using the Trumpwsk.ini File to Configure TCP/IP PropertiesID: Q129131

The TCP/IP network protocol is commonly used for connecting to an Internet provider with Dial-Up Networking. If you are using the Trumpet utility to connect to an Internet provider, information contained in the Trumpwsk.ini file may be useful when you are configuring the TCP/IP protocol for use with Dial-Up Networking. This article lists the entries in the Trumpwsk.ini file that may be of use when you are configuring TCP/IP.
The following table lists the relevant entries in the [Trumpet Winsock]
section of the Trumpwsk.ini file and the corresponding entries from the
TCP/IP Properties dialog box:
ip IP address on IP Address tab
netmask Subnet mask on IP Address tab
gateway Installed gateways on Gateway tab
dns DNS Server Search Order on DNS Configuration tab
domain Domain on DNS Configuration tab
slip-baudrate Maximum speed on General tab in Modem
properties. To view the properties for your
modem, double-click the Modems icon in
Control Panel, click the modem that you are
using for Dial-Up Networking, and click
Properties.
