How to Identify Intel CPU Chipsets

An Intel processor chipset can be identified by the label on the CPU chip. The second line below the Intel logo contains the chip number followed by two letters. The two letters can be used to identify the processor chipset.

The following table lists the letters and their corresponding processor chipsets:

   Letters   Chipset
   -------   -------
   FX        Triton
   LX        Mercury
   NX        Neptune
