SYMPTOMS

Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) Update for Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft
Proxy Server version 2.0 will not run on the same computer.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Routing and Remote Access Update
for Windows NT Server version 4.0. This problem was corrected in the Routing
& Remote Access Service Hotfix Update and in Windows NT Service Pack 4 and
later. You can obtain this update from Microsoft's World Wide Web Site on the
Internet at the following location:

Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) Update for Windows NT 4.0 can be used
along with Microsoft Proxy Server to provide a secure enterprise Internetworking
solution.

In order to run RRAS and Proxy Server version 2.0 on the same computer, you must
install a required RRAS hotfix. This hotfix resolves issues associated with
reliable, secure integration between RRAS and Proxy Server.
