Linked List Box Returns #N/A When the Selected Item Is EditedID: Q69007
|
Microsoft Excel versions 3.0 and 4.0 behave differently than earlier
versions of Microsoft Excel when the edit box of a linked list in a
custom dialog box is edited. If the item in the list box is changed so
that it doesn't match any of the list items, then the init result column
for that list box will contain the Excel error #N/A.
Earlier versions of Microsoft Excel will return the index to the last
valid selection made in the list box, instead of the #N/A. Macros
imported from earlier versions of Microsoft Excel may try to use this
index feature, which is not available in Microsoft Excel versions 3.0 or
4.0, resulting in a macro execution.
