Lotus Charts Open Differently in Excel 4.0 and LaterID: Q84865
|
By default, Microsoft Excel automatically creates any charts associated
with an imported Lotus worksheet when a 1-2-3 worksheet is opened.
Note that this behavior is different from earlier versions of Microsoft
Excel.
If you do not want these charts to be created automatically, you can modify
the Microsoft Excel initialization (.INI) file to disable this behavior.
Lotus 1-2-3 charts are part of a worksheet. Microsoft Excel uses a separate
file for charts (unless they're embedded on the worksheet).
In Microsoft Excel version 2.1 or 3.0, when you open a Lotus 1-2-3
worksheet, you are prompted for permission to create any associated charts.
In Microsoft Excel versions 4.0 and later, you are not prompted for
permission.
To configure Microsoft Excel versions 4.0 and later so they ignore any
associated charts when you open a Lotus 1-2-3 worksheet, you must modify
the Microsoft .INI file.
