Approach for Windows Hangs in Loop Looking at Fonts

SYMPTOMS

When run on Windows NT, Approach for Windows hangs when you do not have a printer installed and you attempt to add one or more fields to a new .DBF file.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when Approach for Windows enters a font-finding loop when you choose OK after defining the fields you want to add to the .DBF file.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, install a printer before creating a new .DBF file.
