SYMPTOMSYou cannot connect to servers whose share names are more than 17 characters. For example:
net use lpt1: \\nine56789\nine56789However, the following command does work:
net use lpt1: \\nine56789\eight678 STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
