Modifying Hi-Low Close-Volume Chart so Volume Uses Line FormatID: Q72871
|
With the default hi-lo close-volume chart in Microsoft Excel, the volume is always represented as columns. To modify the chart so that volume is represented by a line instead of columns, choose Main Chart from the Format menu and change the main chart type from Column to Line.
A hi-lo close-volume chart is created by using four series of data. The
default format for a hi-lo close-volume chart is the Fifth Combination
command in the Gallery menu. It displays the volume (4th series) in the
column format. When you use a combination chart, each series is
separated into a main chart and an overlay. In a hi-lo close-volume
chart, the volume is the main chart and the hi, low, and close series
make up the overlay. To modify the volume, modify the main chart.
For example:
"User's Guide 1," version 4.0, pages 406-431
"Microsoft Excel User's Guide," version 3.0, pages 408-425
Additional query words: 2.0 2.00 2.01 2.1 2.10 2.2 2.20 2.21 3.0 4.0 4.00a
