| Disk Administrator May Not Keep Nonassignment of Drive LetterLast reviewed: May 9, 1997Article ID: Q104160 |
| The information in this article applies to:
When you are using the Windows NT Disk Administrator, there is an option to not assign a drive letter to a partition by choosing Drive Letter..., Do Not Assign a Drive Letter from the Partition menu. When you reboot after making this change, any non-fault-tolerant partitions will still be assigned the next available drive letter. On fault-tolerant partitions, Windows NT will not assign a drive letter, even after reboot. These partitions include Volume Sets, Mirror Sets, and Stripe Sets with and without Parity.
