When you start Write, the following message appears:
<drive>:\TEMP.WRI
Cannot find this file.
Either something has happened to the network or possibly the
file has been renamed or moved. Do you want to try again?
This message is followed by another when you choose Cancel:
Not enough memory for Write to complete this operation.
Quit one or more applications to increase available memory,
and then try again.
A trailing space in the Value of TEMP=<drive>:\TEMP line in the User Environment Variables can cause problems when Write tries to access the declared directory.
The symptoms that you observe are different in different applications; the Print command may be grayed for no apparent reason.
Reenter the TEMP=<drive>:\TEMP line for User Environment Variables in the System section of Control Panel, being careful not to include any spaces.
TEMP=<drive>:\TEMP
Save the edited Value by choosing the Set button.
