Below is a sample of a "dir" (directory command) issued at the command prompt. You can see that the first directory with fewer than 9 characters is used in place of the 8.3 directory name for every long directory. RESOLUTION ========== Install the updated Fpnwsrv.sys file. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 U.S. Service Pack.
