Next Item Added After Picture in Excel Dialog Editor is DimmedID: Q90428
|
In Microsoft Excel, when you create a custom dialog box using the Dialog
Editor, the next item added to the dialog box after adding a Picture item,
defaults to dimmed. That is, the Dimmed check box in the Edit Info dialog
box is selected for this item, and when you run your dialog box, the item
is dimmed (grayed) and cannot be selected.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
The Microsoft Excel Dialog Editor is a tool designed to help you create
custom dialog boxes. When using the Dialog Editor to create custom dialog
boxes, you start with a blank dialog box and then add items (for example,
buttons, text or edit boxes) to it by choosing them from the Item menu.
Version 4.0 of the Microsoft Excel Dialog Editor includes a Picture item in
the list of available Icons that can be added to a custom dialog box. If
you add a Picture item to your dialog box, the next item you add will have
the Dimmed check box selected. By default, the Dimmed check box should be
cleared.
