 SYMPTOMSWhen you run ipconfig.exe /all, the entry for NetBIOS Scope ID is blank, even though you have a NetBIOS scope ID configured in your TCP/IP properties. 
 RESOLUTIONTo see the NetBIOS Scope ID that is configured for your computer, you can do one of the following: 
 STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.5x and 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
