Printing Excel Info Windows May Cause Machines to Hang

SUMMARY

The Show Info command in Microsoft Excel displays an Info window for the currently selected cell. Selecting an entire Excel sheet prior to printing an Info window will cause your machine to hang.

If you select multiple cells, choose Show Info from the Window menu, and then choose Print from the File menu, information for each selected cell will be printed. Selecting the entire document before issuing these commands will cause Excel to try to print information for every cell in the worksheet. This process hangs your machine.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

Open a worksheet.

Select the entire worksheet.

From the Windows menu, choose Show Info.

From the File menu, choose Print.

The message "...Printing to LPT1:" appears on the screen and the system then hangs.
