Rotated/Colored Text Not Displayed Correctly in Pasted ChartID: Q115580

If you copy a chart in Microsoft Excel that contains rotated or colored text and paste it to a document in another Microsoft Windows application, one or more of the following symptoms occur:
This behavior occurs when you paste a Microsoft Excel version 5.0 chart as
a picture, or when you paste or link a Microsoft Excel version 4.0 chart as
a Microsoft Excel Chart object or picture.
NOTE: This problem does not occur in later versions of Microsoft Excel.
The following is a list of symptoms that occur in different applications after you paste a chart from Microsoft Excel that contains colored and rotated text.
Microsoft Excel 5.0 Chart
Picture (paste) - Colored text is displayed in black
Microsoft Excel 4.0 Chart
Chart object (paste or link) - The entire chart appears in black and
Picture (paste or link) white
- Unattached rotated text is not displayed
or appears cut off
- Rotated text is not rotated
Microsoft Excel 5.0 Chart
Chart object (paste) - Colored text is displayed in black
Picture (paste)
Microsoft Excel 4.0 Chart
Chart object (paste) - The entire chart appears in black and white
Chart object (link) - Unattached rotated text is not displayed
Picture (paste) or appears cut off
- Rotated text is not rotated
Microsoft Excel 5.0 Chart
Chart object (paste) - Colored text is displayed in black
Picture (paste)
Microsoft Excel 4.0 Chart
Chart object (paste) - The entire chart appears in black and white
Picture (paste) - Unattached rotated text is not displayed
or appears cut off
- Rotated text is not rotated
Chart object (link) - Colored text appears in color if it is not rotated
Picture (link) - Rotated colored text is displayed in black
