SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to import data from Intuit Quickbooks for Windows versions 3.1, 4.0, or from Intuit Quickbooks Pro for Windows version 4.0, the following error messages may appear.
Error Message 1
MS Visual C++ RunTime Library: Run Time Error: Program 'c:\program files\microsoft office\office\excel.exe.' Abnormal program termination.Then, the following message appears:
Excel caused an Invalid Page Fault in module DAO350.DLL @ 014F:06453410.-or-
Error Message 2
Microsoft Visual C++ Run Time Library Runtime Error! Program 'c:\program files\microsoft office\office\excel.exe' Abnormal program termination.The following message appears
Excel caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll @ 0317:bff79888and then the following message appears:
Excel caused an invalid page fault in module Dao350.dll @ 0137:06243410 CAUSE
Error Message 1The first error message appears if the length of a company name is more than 32 characters in length.
Error Message 2The second error message appears if a quotation mark ("), an apostrophe ('), an open square bracket ([), or a close square bracket (]) is used in any of the list element items: Chart Of Accounts, Items, or Class List. This problem may also occur if any of the list element items is more than 32 characters in length.
