Service Pack Update Fails with Not Enough Free Disk SpaceID: Q107150

The Update program does not check for free disk space before performing the upgrade. If you have less than 5 MB of free disk space, Update may fail and leave corrupted system files. This results in not being able to start Windows NT.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and
Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in
the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced
Server version 3.1. For information on obtaining the Service Pack,
