Setup Shouldn't Allow User to Attempt CDSHARE in RootLast reviewed: May 8, 1997Article ID: Q102516 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSSetup cannot complete copying files to the share.
CAUSEThis problem occurs if the administrator attempts to run Setup to a destination share that is the root of a FAT drive on a network machine. Setup requires a subdirectory for a destination, and when the file limit for a root is reached, the copy fails.
RESOLUTIONAlways specify the remote share destination to be a subdirectory on the network share. Subdirectories have no limit to the number of files you can create.
