SYMPTOMSAfter you apply a service pack and follow the procedures to edit the %SystemRoot%\Repair\Setup.log file to force the service pack update and copy the multiprocessor kernel and hal, you restart the computer and get the following stop screen:
Stop 0xC0000009A SYSTEM_LICENSE_VIOLATION (0x00000004,?????????,????????,????????)The first parameter is always 0x00000004, the next three may vary. This error occurs even after you follow the procedures such as those found in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
