SUMMARY

A Windows NT control set is the set of specifications for the controls and services on a particular machine. The control set for a given machine can be found in the registry database under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM.

While it is possible to create more than one control set and to switch between them manually, there is currently no user interface (UI) to simplify this process. This feature is not planned for the initial release of Windows NT.
