SYMPTOMS

The Western Digital WD 8013 network adapter is not automatically detected during Windows NT Setup. Setup reports:

   No network adapter installed.

Also, during auto-detection, Windows NT Setup may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This adapter may access areas of memory in use by NTDETECT.

RESOLUTION

Select WD8013 from the list of supported adapters and enter configuration settings manually.
