The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows NT operating system version 3.1
  • Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1

The Cardfile accessory included with Windows NT is fully compatible with the Cardfile files created in Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups, even though it is a 32-bit application in Windows NT.

If you have Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups installed into a separate directory from Windows NT, you can set the working directory of Windows NT Cardfile to <Drive>:\<path> for your Windows 3.1 directory or wherever you have your Cardfile files stored, and that directory will appear as the default when choosing Open from the File menu in Cardfile.
