When Windows NT runs on a system that has a RISC-based processor, 16-bit Windows emulation supports only standard mode. Microsoft purchased the emulator technology from Insignia Solutions; their product supports only the 286 at this time. A future version of Windows NT may include 386 enhanced mode support, but no commitment has been made to offer this level of support.
