WordPerfect 5.2 Takes 100% of CPU Time Under Windows NT

SYMPTOMS

WordPerfect version 5.2 for Windows (4/23/93 release) takes so much CPU time that no other application can run. Performance monitor shows 100 percent CPU utilization when WordPerfect 5.2 is running.

CAUSE

This application sits in a peek message loop. This allows all other applications to be responsive while it soaks up all background cycles.
