 The information in this article applies to: 
 In Windows, the CreatePen() and CreatePenIndirect() calls only allow the creation of a pen with predefined styles (for example, solid, dash, and dot). It is not possible to create a pen with a unique style. The only styles available are the stock pens and styles provided with Windows.
