SYMPTOMS

When you run the AddressBook macro, you may receive one of the following error messages:

   Sorry, a system error occurred.
   "Microsoft Word"
   error type 11

   -or-

The application "Unknown" has unexpectedly quit because an error of
   type 1 occurred.

CAUSE

This error occurs when your Normal template contains an AutoNew macro.

WORKAROUND

Temporarily rename the AutoNew macro before running the AddressBook macro. You can rename the AutoNew macro with the following steps:

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Macro.

  2. Choose the Organizer button.

  3. From the In Normal list, select AutoNew.

  4. Choose the Rename button.

  5. Type a new name for the macro.

  6. Choose OK.

  7. Choose Close.

You can now run the AddressBook macro successfully. After converting the Address Book entries, change the renamed macro's name back to AutoNew.
